The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

One of the most moving, visual stunning and best films of all time.

Who's in it? Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton

What’s it about? The Curious Case… tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards while his true love grows old.

What type of film is it? Romantic Drama

Is it any good? Benjamin Button is an absolute masterpiece and is probably one of the greatest films of all time. At almost three hours in length, very gradual pacing and a story line set in New Orleans in the 1920s this has all the hallmarks of being an absolute snoozefest but by some miracle this delicate, beautiful, involving and fantastical story is utterly enchanting and will warm the smallest, deepest cockles of your heart. Will it be to everyone’s taste? No, but it’s a film that you should make every effort to see. This film is not only Brad Pitt’s finest performance ever, it is director David Fincher’s finest work and he is a man with a very impressive CV of first class movies. Quite rightly Benjamin Button has been nominated for 13 Oscars including Best Actor and Best Motion Picture. This film is pretty much as perfect as a film can get.

Ugh... it was better than Babel, at least. Other than that it pretty much sucked.

I loved this movie. There aren't many that I'd want to see again, but this is certainly one of them. The acting, cinematography, actually everything are so well done. I admit some of the monologue can be sappy and make little sense, but overall, this is a joy to experience. (I was a bit bored at the beginning with the slow pace of the dying Daisy's narrative, but once the story began I found it all very captivating.) The times and the characters were so well drawn. I thought Brad Pitt was good, but Cate Blanchett was great. ~

I loved this movie. It was very good, and Pitt was very hot when he got young.

I personally found the film unbearable!! I was so board!! The guy sitting next to me actually fell asleep!!
The second half wasn't so bad...and when Brad Pitt was younger he looked incredibly hot!!!

I dont understand how this movie can be nominated for 11 oscars ,it was so bland ,boring, predictable and only real actor in the movie was doomed from the start with that incredibly bad and unreal old women voice narration.
CGI scenes didint add any more value either ,this is a bad imitiation of Forrest Gump.

How can this movie get nominated for best picture and a great film like "The Visitor" get left out in the cold?

The movie was incredibly predictable.. Within the first 20 minutes I knew how it was going to turn out. SPOILER ALERT Its a shocker to think that a movie based in New Orleans could end with Hurricane Katrina.
